LinkedIn uses two different banners people often mix up: the personal profile banner (1584×396 px) and the company page banner (1128×191 px). They are not interchangeable — wrong file means side crops, illegible text or empty bands on mobile and desktop.

Comparison table: personal vs company banner

Profile typePixels (W × H)Approx. ratioWhere it shows
Personal banner1584 × 3964:1Behind your photo on individual profile
Company page banner1128 × 191~5.9:1Company / showcase page header
Company logo300 × 3001:1Square avatar — not the banner
Feed post image1200 × 627~1.91:1Publication — different format

Personal banner 1584×396

Very panoramic strip. Desktop shows almost full width; mobile crops the sides and centres. Keep brand name and key message in the central third. Profile photo covers bottom-left on desktop — leave that area clear.

Company banner 1128×191

Only 191 px tall — every line counts double. Ideal for logo + short tagline, not a five-line manifesto. Do not shrink the personal 1584×396 banner — design or adapt each at native size.

Generate the correct banner without manual ratios — adapt here to personal or company LinkedIn banner by preset name.
